Lovely Sunday Afternoon Hike.

So, our kids board a plane and travel hundreds of miles away from home and what do they want to see in the wild, a lizard.  Apparently, there are no lizards in Arizona.  But guess what twenty minutes in the car, which is like torture for kids and what do we see.... not just one lizard but at least six or seven lizards.

 (left peacefully in the wild)

 (a baby owl)

 (a hare)
And, some crickets, lots of crickets it was weird and creepy, oh ya did I forget to mention this....

Tally for the hike, six or seven lizards, handful of hares, one baby owl, hundreds of crickets, and one pure evil serpent.  After a little whining, some walking, some water, some climbing and some more whining, we finally made it back to the car, and safely home.

Dad swears we are making memories, but letting your kids see you freak out and we all know I freaked out at some point of this experience, is not the memory I want to engrave into our kids memory. Oh well it won't be the last.
